Mailbox

  • Several months ago I tinkered with mixes of songs from 1999-2000.
  • I spent yesterday and today putting a final coat of polish on them.
  • Not sure exactly how I will release them. It’s kind of a best of 3 albums.

Elephants of Scotland

  • Worked on “Winter Song” just a bit. Settles on the tempo. Printed up a lyric sheet.
  • Planning to lay down rough guitar and vocals tomorrow so I have building blocks I can use for cutting and pasting an arrangement together.

Adam Rabin solo

  • Started practicing acoustic tunes in earnest for possible livestream shows.
  • Looking forward to new challenge and something ephemeral to focus on.
  • I’m thinking I’ll just do a few songs at a time, see how it feels.

Chris Titchner

  • Mastered a 6-song EP of live recordings he made 21 years ago.
  • I think I mastered a couple of those tunes back in the day but not the whole set.
  • Also designed the digital cover.

HH Musical

  • Greg and I reviewed the final scene last night. Minor tweaks and then we called it. Done. (Though, changes happen)
  • Greg put his professional project management skills to good use by assigning me the task of making a spreadsheet of the whole play and all the possible songs. Did that today. Good way to see the whole story at a glance.
  • I’d say 2/3 of the songs are at least started already. Some are very close to done. This is my winter.

Elephants of Scotland

  • Wrote music for a new song. Working title: Europa Irish Ballad. Because it’s kinda Irish-y and sad and uses a riff from an old instrumental of mine called “Europa”
  • Needs lyrics. Greg suggests I write about a “man who is in love with an octopus and must find a way to tell his children.”
  • I’m tagging this as EoS because it definitely will need John and Bob to help me flesh it out.

HH Musical

  • Finished the book!
  • Going to review with Greg on Tuesday which will only yield improvements and even more ideas.

Studio

  • Fixing an OSB wall that I stupidly glued carpet tile to. Removing tiles took quite a bit of the wall with it. So, spackle and paint.
