Recorded several vocal takes for “Winter Song”
They suck. I mean, I can hit the notes but my voice just isn’t blending with the arrangement. Might need a different singer. A woman, perhaps.
Maybe this will be an EoS track after all.

Adam Rabin solo

Yep, “Winter Song” is a solo thing. Just ‘cuz: pandemic.
I recorded the acoustic guitar, doumbek, tambourine, and MIDI bass yesterday and today.
“Europa” is part 2 of this track. I had tried to infuse the Europa riff into the Winter Song proper but the shoehorn broke.

Mailbox

Past couple days finished up a simple remaster (with a few remixed tracks) of Irrelevant, Look What You Made Me Do, and Attempt No Landing.
This completes updating of Mailbox studio album catalog.

Elephants of Scotland

Still ironing our some passages and riffs for “Winter Song.”
I think I have it where it needs to be now.
I still don’t know how or if we’ll be able to record as a group. Might have to go solo.

HH Musical

Another excellent 90-minute writing session with Greg.
Finalized a new small spoken passage that helps round out the leading woman’s story arc.
Further refined the song list including removing 2 or 3 proposed songs. Ahhh, made my job a lot easier.
After the call I finished writing “B.O.P.” song by adding a couple verses and tweaking the dialog between verses.

Comedy

Performed in “No Idea!” online improv show.
Was supposed to just be on for the music segment but the opposing team (from San Antonio) was a no-show so it turned into an intramural match. I had to do scenes and stuff. *facepalm*
Music segment was fun.

Practiced for “No Idea!” improv show on 12/3. Getting some chord progressions into my brain.

Reacquainting myself with the script. Reassessing where songs could/should go.
Began smoothing out lead female character’s arc. It changed slightly throughout the first draft process so I needed to tweak a few lines.

Finished up the remix of the bastardized What’s In The Box? album – now featuring the best of all three albums I recorded around 1999-2000.
I’m done writing the new “Winter Song” which, given the state of the world, is looking more like a solo song. Hope to start recording it this week.
