  • First band practice in a few months. Went through “How To Do Nothing” bit by bit.
  • We all agree the song “works”
  • We all have some homework
  • It’s going to be about a month before we can reconvene. This is the pace of this project.

  • Between the holiday break, the virus surge, and all my other projects I told them it might be a bit before I can give them the attention they deserve.
  • The found another person to work with who, I think, they’ve worked with before.
  • All good. It wasn’t meant to be. Great folks; can’t wait to hear what they do.

  • Started messing with arrangement ideas for “He’s Gotta Know His Woman”
  • Bought a sample library of stomps and claps for it.
  • Playing around with marching band instruments also. Getting kinda busy, though.

Mahout

  • Gave Bottomless Soup a quick freshening up (yesterday)
  • Will be a subscriber-only album. No need to make that public.

  • Recorded keys and lead vocal for “Vanishing Twin”
  • I recorded keys and vox yesterday but on listening back I didn’t like the tempo.
  • I can see this song developing into something bigger. Or not.

Hatchford Hotel

  • Reviewed Act II, Scene 3 rewrite with Greg.
  • All approved. Changed “palooka” to “jamoke”
  • Greg has a small task then I’ll copy the rewrite into the master file.
